Its funny how Marner set a franchise record for a home point streak (19 games) in his worst game of the season

The discussion thread pt.2 lasted only 40 days before we maxed it out, meaning we averaged 31 posts per day... Leafs nation has too much passion

Bjugstand makes 900k and has 11 goals. For our 4th line would be nice.

Since we know Arizona aint making it before he scores more trade for him now.

I really wanted Foegele a few years ago. Not too sure why it hasn't worked for him in Edmonton. That being said, I still want Puljujarvi. I almost wonder if the Leafs swing another Nick Ritchie-esk late night trade

Since this news, both Foegele and Ryan have scored. Gotta think Puljujarvi is getting traded soon. My best guesses for a landing spot are Toronto or Carolina

Murray has appeared in 19 games this season. In 9 of them, he has a .929 or above. In 9 of them he has a <.900.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Woll get a couple of games. It would be nice to know what they have in him going forward

Thats not a great view to go by it. HS one of the goalies to bring Woll up does not send a great message. Like of all 19 games hes really had 4 well defined bad starts (SEA, CGY, FLA, ARI) that you could go he was the issue (won the CGY and FLA game but u get it). He was good in Boston and most of the other teams with even if in some he was a bit under 900 but when your teams turning it over or playing like ass he can only do so much. As we know hes got a weakness and if teams not playing well in front, the enemy team will exploit it (aka glove side)

I do want to see Woll but it would come after an injury.

Murray should start vs. WPG as I believe redemption is in order.

Murray’s average save % last 10 games: .853%

Murray’s average save % last 15 games:
.881%

Again, his highs and lows are very drastic and for me, a little concerning

This is the one start next to the 3 others I mentioned where I can go that was him. 4 for 19 aint bad. Now they have been semi close together but still there are other factors to consider.

As in the Boston game and a few others we really cant blame him for those numbers. As man he worked his ass off just turnovers killed us. Our defense in general has not been playing the greatest these past few weeks. Need to sharpen up and get healthy as man without Sandin and Brodie tonight that was brutal. Rielly looked good though so thats good. Got to get back to that Nov/early December defensive mindset.

Feels like Jan has been a rollercoaster. Hopefully they can tread in a positive direction and get things in order for February.

In his three games at 5v5:
64.29 CF%
75.09 xGF%
70.37 SF%
53.57 SCF%
57.14 HDCF%

All that with 28.57% of his starts in OZ.

Dubas better be cooking something up or just sending him down for a conditioning stint, because if not then this is beyond stupid

Oh right, I forgot about Pridham's favourite short-term transaction for cap reasons. Thats probably the most likely outcome

You are not wrong tho, it could just be a conditioning stint.

Marlies play Fri-Sat-Sun 🤷‍♂️

Edit:

They play tonight- Fri- Sat

You mean the goal that went in off his skate

Dryden Hunt:
-No goals (or points) in 17 GP.
-One goal (and one point) in 33 GP. Now he has two

There is a snow balls hell in chance he is on the playoff roster. And McMann also

In general once we get Nick Bjugstand its gonna be fun. Hunts been fine honestly not flashy but still I like what he brings to the 4th line.

As when a guy whose got 12 goals and is making 900k is available via TDL go get him. No like seriously Dubas chop chop

Okay, so it definitely isnt a paper transaction. Sending Holmberg down for a conditioning stint for the flu seems strange. Blasphemy that Holmberg isnt still in the Leafs lineup

At home on Thursday and in MTL on Saturday. Can’t see him being there for an extended stint 🤷‍♂️

Blasphemy that Gogolev can’t get into this roster

Well the good news is they are on pace to win the president trophy and we know the curse that thing brings. Probs wont see them in R2 as what happened in 18-19 when another team won it will happen again.

Was looking at comparables for what we could trade for Nick Bjugstand and Noel Acciari and I got concerns

As it seems the highest comparable is Jarnkrok who went for a 2nd + 3rd + 7th and he had 12 goals and 14 assists in 49 gp

Bjugstand's got 11 goals 9 assists in 44gp
Acciari got 10 goals 8 assists in 45gp

Others had between just a 4th or a 3rd and 5th

Hopefully price wont get there as I would like to get both and another piece

Most people nah NHL dont got to rework divisions its fine

We got a division with 3 of the top 5 teams and whoever comes out of the east gonna have a more challenging run than the west

Like were gonna see a finals match in r1 and r2 by old standards
