Garland would be a great get. He is super feisty and brings some much needed scoring while also costing little

Trenin's 2 way game paired with his physicality would be great for a playoff push. Plus, he only costs 1.7 for 1.5 seasons. He'd be a very solid add.

Raddysh brings some speed and secondary scoring to a bottom 6 that desperately needs it.

All of these guys are immediate upgrades over what we currently have. They make this team significantly deeper and are some of the better options out on the market. We aren't going out and getting a big fish, we just need guys to help in the bottom 6. Raddysh is on pace for 24 goals, Trenin is on pace for ~12 (while being relegated to the 4th line), and Garland is an excellent 2 way point producer having a down year.


I like Garland, just not for us. That contract for a good but not great player who can't shift to C just doesn't sit well with me for this group. I like Trenin as well, would be a decent add, but as the 3C solution... I'm not sold. Raddysh is shooting nearly 20% while playing top 6 minutes and getting significant PP time (where a good chunk of his production has come), I'm not convinced he'd really be a meaningful upgrade on what we have.

Why is it the 2 C's who fill in for AM have taken stupid penalties that have lead to goals lul

Is there some curse we dont know about

First Holmberg now Kerfoot. Dont put Kampf up there as hes next by those standards lul

Getting Balcers on waivers could be nice, but it would put us back at 50 contracts which isn't ideal...

Ugh, this team. They have 20 total losses on the year and 10 of them have been from teams not in a playoff spot.

Falling flat to teams they should beat is stopping this team from contending for a Presidents trophy.

So frustrating

I mean the price he paid for Horvat was almost nothing. Raty is the only guy you could go **** on but if Lou extends Horvat (which hes probs gonna do) then yea seems bit underwhelming for Van

And NYI have the space to extend him

Hes gearing up for a potential run now and even if they miss setting his team up for 2023-2024

yea just a great prospect, 25 year old NHL winger and a 2023 first to add what's currently a rental to a middle of the pack team, basically nothing

When Lou pays a prospect like raty for a player like Horvat then an extensions next. Thats what Lou does

Look at Kyle Palmieri, and Pageau

As for the return its pretty underwhealming as Beau is having a bad season, and with Bo the NYI pick could go from 15-18 to 30 if they make it. Only good what if piece is Raty

What are you smoking? 25 y/o winger who's scored at a 20 goal pace 4 times already, Aatu Raty, and a 1st... That's a hell of a lot more than nothing. And just because the Islanders have the space to extend Horvat to what he's reportedly been asking doesn't make it a smart thing to do.

A team like Boston would have offered more. Allvein should have waited for the bidding war as honestly if we look at the return for Bo, Canucks could have done better.

Like the only good piece is Raty thats it.
