See he's a beloved player even on a team that struggles, you got to offer 2 valuable piece's for a chance at Jenner no drafts or prospects either way, I think he didn't get moved before signing his deal because he's important to that team if they are making a run playing well or out of contention

You're either two years too late to trade for Boone Jenner or three years too early. He is too important to a young team, being captain and longest tenured player, and chose to sign a well under-market deal to stay. He would be a perfect fit for Toronto, but he's also already a perfect fit on the team he's currently on, and that team is not interested in moving him.

Jackets aren't moving Jenner for this. Voit's just the leading scorer in the OHL, not the leading goal scorer - and while 11-51-62 is impressive, when you're playing on a team that's scored 140 goals total this year I have to wonder how many of those are secondary assists (not enough of a sicko to have access to CHL metrics so if someone else wants to jump in and correct me, have at it.) SDA is, as you say, an older prospect just putting it together in the AHL.

Jenner's 29 and signed to 3 more years at a very reasonable $3.75M cap hit and is scoring at a 55 point pace this year after putting up a 60+ point pace last year, in addition to being the team's captain. Add those facts to the fact that the Jackets have a passel of wingers younger or equal in age to SDA already getting NHL ice time and I think the package just isn't what Columbus would be looking for - they're gonna want a big overpay to move their captain, and this just doesn't get there.
