Deadline sale

Created by: Wingsfannn
Team: 2022-23 Detroit Red Wings
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 18, 2023
Published: Jan. 18, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This is a scenario where larkin isnt extended or id be pushing for byfield if extended.

Quickest way to speed up the rebuild is getting those picks and try and have 3 top 25 picks or package 2 so we can move up. Maybe use a 1st or 2nds and target some young players for next season
Still have some veteran leadership on the team for now with perron and copp and theres always free agency and the chance to resign larkin if possible is still there . Risking losing him for nothing is not a good idea

Even if the Kings wanted a forward, they won't give up a 1st for a rental.

I'd rather have Blackwood backing Vanecek up for the rest of the season than Nedeljkovic tbh.
Devil and Sharkie69 liked this.

while i dont mind the oilers trade, i just dont think it would happen as we dont need more forwards especially rentals for a solid prospect who is a on cheaper, longer deal

laugh laugh This dude has a fetish with Larkin to LA, Last thing Detroit needs is another LHS Center we need RHS Centers. So Detroit passes.

Bertuzzi trade is just as bad, If we trade Bert to Edmonton it's going to be more painful than this.

Blackwood is just as bad as Nedeljkovic plus can't stay healthy, it would take a 2nd for a team to take on a Blackwood that has very little to no value like Nedeljkovic.

Saw it mentioned on a recent clip on dailyfaceoff ... blackwood has been bad and the money works

Ned wasnt claimed cause of his cap # , and of course his play

Bert and Larkin bring more. Not good enough returns for them, especially with retention.
