What's the deal with Dumba? Is he struggling quite a bit? Or is it just that he wont be resigning? Combination of both? Don't get to watch the Wild very often. Thanks

Struggled early on, been better as of late. There's almost no chance that the wild bring him back next season so it's either find a way to move him at the deadline or let him walk

Hawks accept. If the Dumba trade comes off before the Kane trade, the Hawks will take the EDM 1st rounder obtained from them. I have a feeling that will be a higher pick.

Only thing I could see the hawks asking is to switch lambos with a equivalent forward prospect.

CHI would probably take this. Frankly you could just toss in Dumba, add one more pick/asset for eating Dumba's cap hit, and CHI might take him too.

Good, because moving Lambos for rental Kane is dumb.

Beckman? Or something else?

Dumba's NOT a cap dump. Or a negative asset for that matter.

Minnesota isn't paying to move him.

He's easily worth a low 1st if half retained.

Edmonton says no. They already have 4 RHD on the roster and Holland has never trade a 1st for a rental.

Agreed. It’s probably time to acknowledge Kane’s decline. IDK if he’s hurt but he’s not the same.

Even if he is, I find it highly unlikely he waives for MN.

Yeah, well Holland isn’t gonna be the GM next year so the past isn’t a great indicator. Not adding a player worth a 1st will just get him fired faster.

Next year? In 6 months Dumba is a UFA, next year has nothing to do with this. And anyways, the Edmonton Oilers have never traded their 1st for a rental, and they don't have the cap space for Dumba, and he's just not anything special as a player. (If he was, Minnesota fans wouldn't be trading him as they're heading to the playoffs).

I wouldn't be mad with Beckman.
