It appears that the team and the NHL support his decision, so why would they suddenly want to trade him?

Not being a team player last night, he's lucky he didn't get suspended for the game.

If John Tortorella has shown anything, it's that non team players are harshly dealt with. Clearly, Provorov has not disrespected the team in Tort's eyes.

I'd bet he cleared it with Torts before warmups

Most probably won't, If you do something special for the community you have to be a team player. If not you've no future in the business.

I know players have religious beliefs, But as a whole you're still disrespecting your team and the organization as a whole.

Flyers head coach John Tortorella said Provorov "was true to himself and to his religion."

"It's one thing I respect about Provy, he's always true to himself," Tortorella said.

Philadelphia, the brotherhood love city. That's deep. Oh well, maybe not deep. I meant to say profound. Never mind.

There was a good amount of fans, myself included, who wanted him gone purely from a hockey perspective prior to last night. We have a log jam in the LD position, and Provy is one of those fallback options for teams that miss out on Chychrun. He’s still only 26 and has value. Could easily return a 1st round pick and more. Last night just rallied a whole other group of fans to want him gone for personal reasons. So now it’s just more than clear it’s time to move on.

Why because he protected Provorov's first amendment right of freedom of religion and speech?
