1 The return isn't guaranteed.
2 it's efforts the receiving GM should not have to deal with.
3 it's often a cap dump situation for the other team therefore complete value isn't given.

I went looking, all of it is "He could benefit from a change of scenery" or "Comtois should be a legit trade target for X team". Nothing about him actively being shopped around or the Ducks being interested in moving him.
