Another laughable leafs offer for Koneckny (and Laughton).

What is kerfoot to PHI? Hes an expiring UFA having an okay year. Hes a cap dump.
What value does Robertson have to PHI? His NHL career so far has been weak, hes out for 6 months injured (another injury) and hes AT BEST their 4th best forward prospect on a team that already is playing 6-7 forwards under 25 yrs old. His value is minimal to PHI

A 1st TWO drafts away thats likely low in the round and a low in the round 3rd in 2023.

So its Knies, a blue chip prospect

Its a good offer for Koneckny, with the usual Leaf junk thrown in, but probably not for both players.

I’m lukewarm on Laughton, but certainly would not dump engvall to make it happen. Engvall is super valuable - frustrating with his lackk of physicality but - that combo of speed / size is rare and his defensive numbers are excellent. Him, Kampf & ZAR would be an elite matchup line.
Konecny would be a nice add but given term left on his deal, most likely too expensive for Leafs.

Caps have no need for Engvall with the amount of forwards they already have, so they'd decline here.

I'm a big fan of Engvail but Caps are already stacked at forward. Maybe in the offseason.

Listen, i'll admit I'm guilty of worrying about Knies' future potential. I'm always scared of guys that go the NCAA route - yes guys like Makar were just fine. But Knies is something the Leafs never have or haven't had in forever. He is the only guy that is untouchable.
