Why would the ducks take on a cap dump and retain for a couple of years on Henrique for a third and prospect

Holy crap, that's the most insultingly low offer yet. Ducks stop answering the phone if you call with this offer.

23 1st or 23 2nd and a blue chip prospect if you want 1.5 seasons of retention on Rico.

Ducks would be wise to ask for a package similar to Andrew Copp at last year’s deadline for Henrique this year. His stats undermine his 5v5 offense and 5v5 defense advanced stats. He’s pretty valuable to the Ducks right now in terms of literally everything

You are probably only giving up way short of what Henrique would cost without any retention.

Henrique won't be cheap, something will hurt. If the Ducks have to take AJ as part of the trade, it's preferable for them as at least he is expiring rather than retention for this year and next on Henrique.

My guess would be Zetterlund (who has more value than just a 2nd, the kid can play), AJ, and a maybe a player like Bahl who could be added straight to their blueline and get a more consistent amount of ice time.

We've had two far better and more realistic offers for Henrique from your fellow New Jersey colleagues TODAY.

I don't understand the word "undermine" here. Could you please explain what you mean another way?

English is hard haha. His goals, points etc aren't necessarily looking like he's a top-line player, but his advanced stats say otherwise.

It goes back to the 14th century....a wall looked really strong and difficult to overcome, but armies would dig literal mines under the walls and they would collapse on themselves when there was nothing holding them up...

In this case, they are saying, his stats may look strong, but the analytics of the numbers make them look weaker than they are.

Other way around.
