For Horvat to be dealt within the division, The offer needs to be far better than that. There's no way that's a winning bid in the Bo Horvat sweepstakes.

Also Seattle doesn’t need Horvat. If they traded a first round pick at the deadline it would be to acquire a tendy.

It makes no sense when you already have Matthew Beniers and eventually Shane Wright on your team. Seattle is a nice wonderful up and coming team. But paying a premium for Horvat who's not going to make Seattle all that much better makes no sense.

The offence looks very good, but I would imagine if they are trading at the deadline, it would be to get a goaltender.. If I was them, I would want to get rid of that Grubauer contract, but that looks like it may be unmovable at this point.. Ron Francis absolutely has a lot of work to do, but he has done a decent job so far! I still don’t understand some of his signings, but oh well..

They have a hoard of draft picks. They would be better served using them to dump Phil the Team Killer.

They need a goalie if they're gonna do anything in the post season. Vejmelka? Even Reimer would be better than what they have.

If they get better goal tending to offset the inevitable drop in their shooting percentage who knows what will happen in a wide open western conference

I didn’t like either of Seattle’s Tendy’s going in to year one. That being said I didn’t expect it to be this bad. I think it’s important for teams to remember there aren’t many goalies who r worth their contract long term. Goalie performance in hockey is more erratic than any position in pro sports imo.

IK their shooting percentage is high, but when lines 1-4 can all skate at a level well above league average what else should we expect? They r kind of like a less talented, but more disciplined version of NJD imo.

Start over with a 23 1st, and go from there. There will be no nickel and diming for Tarasenko.
