There’s no talk of trading crouse. There’s more talk of naming him or Keller captain than there is moving him. Wallinder and a 23 1st if you wanted to make it interesting

23 1st would have to be another aquired 1st . Zero chance they’d deal a top 10 pick

No not at all, which is why the deal won’t happen. Crouse is on pace to hit 30 goals, no one deals a 30 goal power forward

Well according to some idiot fans above who no doubt dont watch games that dont involve the wings they dont seem to think much of crouse from what i can see. I do Think hes more of a 20-25 goal guy but hey maybe he keeps it up and becomes a consistent 30 goal guy but he brings alot more than that And is a 6’4 power forward like you said .If hes dealt the team acquiring him will be happy

I like Crouse, but he's still just a .5 PPG player. And being on pace for 30 doesn't mean he's going to hit it.

The question is more around what does Army do with both Crouse and Keller? Both very good players now but what are they going to be in 5 years when the Coyotes hope to actually be good? Chychrun is also only 24 and he's obviously not part of the future so what of the 2 higher end forwards? Does Army rebuild around 19 year olds Guenther and Geekie and they're the future rather than Crouse and Keller?

Reason why I think Chychrun, Vejmelka and Crouse are not traded is because Arizona wants to see if they can win the draft lottery. Bedard should accelerate that rebuild a lot.

Two things. 1. Keeping all three *decreases* their chances of winning the lottery and 2. The Coyotes have as much chance of winning the lottery as the Wings do... Namely zero. grin

What do you mean same change? It’s pretty certain that Wings are not finishing last in the leaque. Arizona could definietely.

I agree that isn't enough for Crouse but Detroit isn't giving up a lottery pick in a deep draft and a prospect like Wallinder

I think he hits 30 this year, he’s likely a 20-25 guy annually though. Chychrun isn’t a part of the future because Armstrong (rightly in my opinion) sees the return he can get is greater than the contributions of chychrun. Chych is a great player, but look how much better Buffalo is with the eichel return, same concept. The biggest reason to keep crouse is that he’s a great fit with Cooley. Cooley is an extremely good cycle player, and he’s always played with a power forward (knies at Minnesota and last WJC) and a sniper (basically always been snuggerud). The perfect line is crouse-Cooley-guenther, it maximizes all of their best attributes.

Keller’s play style lends itself to aging gracefully, he rarely gets hit, it’s a big reason why he’s a foundational piece

Definitely not, I don’t think Arizona and detroit are good trading partners personally, in too similar of places with too similar of needs

People don’t watch the games. It’s frustrating having to explain over and over that he affects the game more than just the box score. I appreciate the fact that you definitely understand Crouse’s game, I just don’t think the yotes and wings are good trade partners on this one
