Jarry is getting at least 7 on the next deal. He is a number one on alot of teams. My thought is why haven't the penguins extended him yet? They must have resevervations and are waiting to see how the market unfolds

Nah he wont get at least 7. At most 7. Has to prove himself in the yoffs first. He hasn't been extended yet cause Hextall hasn't done anything. He hasn't made a trade in more than 7 months and we are currently struggling to keep our playoff hope alive.

Jarry isn’t getting 7 mil. He would be lucky to get 6. As mentioned, Jarry would have to prove himself in the playoffs and potentially lead them on a deep run, which I don’t see happening. There are only 3 goalie that make 7+ mil right now: Vasy, Bobrovsky, and Price. All of whom have won Vezinas and Vasy with multiple cups. Plus Florida deeply regrets handing Bob that contract. Look at some of the goalie signings over the last few years. Merzlikins (5.4 mil), Campbell (5 mil), Saros (5 mil), Shesterkin (5.66 mil), Grubauer (5.9 mil after he just won a cup), Demko (5 mil), etc. That’s the going rate for goalies. Jarry is probably looking at around 5.5ish mil a year deal from the pens barring him being unbeatable the rest of season and in the playoffs. 6 mil if the pens are feeling generous.
