Both sides wouldn't do it. Canucks like him. He's not the player the Leafs need for the playoffs as this is his first season and who knows if he could handle a bigger market and media and playoffs.

Nobody would or should give up anything for Kuzmenko who's shooting at a high percent and the rest, just see above.

------------

With that being said, Knies can't be the 2LW and Kuzmenko is not what we need. If Knies gets inserted, he needs 3rd or 4th line, not top 6 in the playoffs when everybody's jobs are on the line here. I like a go big approach with a big name..but I also really love the idea of Henrique on this team. It would allow them to make another move with Anaheim retention. Toews would be sick there, but I really think he's going to Winnipeg or Colorado honestly.

Toews is playing better lately 7 points in last 6 games. I'm not sure Chicago takes that package. Not saying he's worth a 1st at this point. Maybe keep the TOR 2 2023 3rd and throw in a forward prospect. Ty Voit?

Your loss. He's going to be a solid player. I see him being an elite defensive centre who will score upwards of 60 points regularly. He might be my top prospect with the Leafs. Knies has a higher ceiling but Minten is has a super high floor.

I hope for ROR, elite defensively still and certainly would be able to win easier minutes against 3rd liners when opposition is focusing on Matthews or Marner.

I definitely think Toews is a better option for Leafs than Kane. Just seems like a natural fit in their lineup with what they already have. Can't argue against ROR either. They are both similar type of players.

So his biggest fan (you, I've literally never seen anyone with as high a take on him) sees his peak as an elite defensive center who can score almost 60 pts in the future. If we're being honest, if he reaches that ceiling, that's not happening probably until he's at least 21 or 22, or for another 3 or 4 seasons.. which would be well after the Leafs best window, right?

You'd rather keep that, than get a forward who is currently on currently pace for 35 goals and 40 assists in his first season in NA, makes 950k so would easily fit under the cap, and would fit into Toronto's window right now?

That seems like a poor decision making, especially since you're describing Minten's ceiling which he isn't even a guarantee to reach. I even like Minten, although I wouldn't trade Kuzmenko for him, but that just seems like a missed opportunity to maximize the Leafs chances at a cup.

Rather just get a first maybe with a plus for Kuzy.

Kuzmenko has no track record and is rather one dimensional. Not what TO needs
