A. That doesn't land Horvat
B. Detroit are not and should not be buyers

Vancouver isn't getting multiple 1st's or A prospects/roster players for a rental. Ras + 1st is a solid offer, Zadina and Lindstrom don't have much value but both still have some potential and could develop into useful players.

I agree Detroit shouldn't buying this year, just playing around

The value of the offer is irrelevant. Trade deadlines always get stupid and someone will massively overpay for Horvat.

He's having an outlier season in a contract year with an unsustainable shooting % while not being the reliable defensive player that playoff teams want. He'll get a 1st+ but I dunno about anything massive

Hey, you don't have to convince me, I want nothing to do with his cost, I'm just playing the odds of trade deadlines and how crazy costs get for centers specifically...

But they are definitely getting a 2023 1st for him, which carries more value than a 2024 1st.

Horvat is the best rental the market has almost ever seen. Copp got a 1st, 2nd, prospect, and late pick.

Ironic that you could set your watch by Horvat being an elite defensive center at the 2C role. Suddenly he shows he can play offense, but his defense suffers.

What does this show? 1. Horvat can be an offensive force. 2. He is not a true two way center, but he is really good at playing offense or defense, just not at the same time...
