Description

MIN goes all in on Kane and Toews as rentals and remove Greenway’s cap hit for next two years after Boldy signing.

Ottawa gets Dumba on a reasonable deal after interest. This move also helps MIN take on Kane and Toews contracts and reduce return back to CHI.

VAN gets a young center (RFA) and a pick back after trading Horvat that can play up in the lineup. MIN gets physical RHD after moving Dumba.

There will be tons of team interested in Matt Dumba, Pretty sure he'll get at least 5 years $25 million.

That might get you Kane, But no way does that get you both Kane and Toews together.

Is the retention for Kane and Toews supposed to be more? If Hawks are retaining, don't think 50% would be any different than 25%. Would like to see the '23 2nd in the deal going to Hawks as well.

I like the condition on the pick if Minnesota advances in the playoffs.

Hawks don't need any more LD prospects so replace Peart with maybe Rieger Lorenz. A 2023 second would be nice too.

Don’t need to retain anything if they trade Dumba, but less retention = less going back to CHI. Don’t think a second would be added with their NTC. The return should be fair depending on the list of teams they would like to be traded to, especially if they would like to be traded to the same team to stay together and make the transition easier.

Pick conditions are similar to what Billy and Davidson did with Fleury last year.

Peart prospect could be tweaked based off of what CHI needs in their system, but thinking it would be similar to him.

Billy already giving up a 1, 3 (+), prospect, and player with term, he won’t be adding a 2nd too.

That might get you Kane, But no way does that get you both Kane and Toews together.

1st, prospect, and roster player for Kane and 3rd for Toews. 3rd has potential to be as high as a first.

Both players have a NTC, so the return won’t be much higher than that depending on how many teams they would agree to be traded to. Slim chance they both want to go to MIN, but doubt there’s many other teams on their list if they did.

That's some pretty specific stipulations that Toews and Kane only agree to go to same team. Hawks can retain more so Greenway doesn't need to be included.
