Habs and devils trade

Created by: Suzuki2017

Team: 2022-23 Montreal Canadiens
Description
Habs Trade the second best pick between theirs and the Panthers.

Habs have some good defenseman prospect but on the right side they all look suspect. Nemec fixes this easily.

Of course the devils dont want to Trade Nemec but they can manage with Hughes coming in soon. They are a bit small on offense and Anderson gives them a PF. Barron is ofciurse not in the same Category of Nemec but helps the depth on the right side. The pick from Florida should be between 10-15 but who knows, it could pays off and if not, it is a good year to draft first round.

Not a devils fan but i just don't understand all the Nemec trades lately? They literally just picked him 2nd overall. Ik they have Hamilton and Marino down the right side for the next few years at least, but it seems like he'll be a great replacement for Severson when he walks. Plus he's only 18. How many top 5 picks do you see getting traded not even a year after being drafted?

I think that there's little chance of New Jersey trading Nemec alone for that package; add a second (even an over-the-horizon one) and "little" becomes "none."

Devils don’t do that they literally took him second last year. How would we feel if there were posts about an overpaid middle sixer, a B level prospect and a pick in the 10-12 range for slaf… it’s the same thing

Josh Anderson, even at 50% retention, would be of little interest. We have Nate Bastian for that role.

As a neutral fan, no one is taking Anderson in a trade without sending an equal or very close to equal amount of bad cap/cap dumps in dollars and term back.

is caufield honestly worth an elite upside dman?

I still don't think Cole has come anywhere close to being top 3 quality. When you get a top 3 pick you keep it until it goes woefully wrong.

Based on what the Devils need, possibly but I definitely get your point
