Chabot has to be worth significantly more than that no?

DO NOT SHOW ALFIE YOU TRADED THE ELITE THOMAS Chabot.

In all seriousness I probably wouldnt trade Chabot just because he eats minutes, and thats a hige responsibility to put on Sanderson. Thats how the Flyers stunted Provorovs growth and why he hasnt been able to Live up to draft expectations.

Tbh I have no clue. I feel like Durzi is a #3 , Iafallo is a good 2 way middle 6 winger and a 1st round pick . Chabot is getting paid 8 mill and he’s had some defensive lapses, still great offensively

I would accept that offer as the Los Angeles GM. I'd like it even more if you'd take the 2024 first and our 2023 second or our next two years' thirds.

a overated dman, a bottom 6 player and a mid to late first is not enough for a #1 puck moving Dman on a good contract in his prime

Chabot is not on a “good contract” . His market value to deal is average. Not many Dmen paid more than him.

Iafallo is a solid low end 2nd liner , elite 3rd liner who’s also great defensively .

Durzi is not overrated

A 1st can strengthen our prospect pool or flipped for another good player. And we get 3 mill in cap space

You are right to accept that deal. Does not hurt to ask but LA is already getting the best player in the trade which often indicates who ends up benefitting the most from a deal. 2023 1st is definitely the starting point draft pick wise. If what you have to give up in trading for a player does not give you pause then it usually not enough to secure the trade.

Ideally I’d want Kempe or Vilardi instead of Iafallo but it’s probably too much idk .

Kings can't afford to make this deal and tbh I don't think Ottawa can either, for other reasons. Sanderson looks like a stud(I'd much rather have him than Chabot) but putting him right into #1 minutes would be a mistake and could destroy his confidence.

I would much rather overpay for Chychrun than aquire Chabot. With Chychrun we get another 2 years of 4.6m and after that, 6-7 years of what Chabot is making now if not less.

Chabot for Skjei, Turbo and a add ? Talk re-signing with both before the deal. Use your money to get Severson in UFA?

My issue with that deal is we’d be signing 2 guys at the end of their prime that likely want decent sized deals. Where as someije like Durzi is only 24 and can be extended longterm from age 25. Iafallo is 29 but signed to a good deal and a 2 way player. And we are getting a 1st round pick in a deep draft. I feel like we need a move that helps NOW and in the future
