Not even close to worth it for Detroit. Need to send something of value other than just the first.

Edmonton already has 4 right shot NHL defensemen on the roster, why would they want another?

Wow this is easily the worst trade I've seen on here.

2 3rd liners a 1st and 2 2nds for our Captain and Bertuzzi. What a freaking joke and you're not even remotely close. And i doubt Larkin even has any interest in Minnesota. Talk about worthless offer.

Your posts give me anxiety. Why are you always so aggressive?

Honestly, Detroit just needs futures, but Larkin is untouchable. Bertuzzi can be had for 2 A level assets. (1st round pick, good prospect)

Not JP, ot a Yzerman kind of player. Wi gs need centers as do Wild so sending Larkin and not getting a top prospect center back is a non starter

LOL, sure. 6 game winning streak because their defense sucks... sure. Only 4 teams have allowed fewer goals over that stretch.

Even if they thought Dumba was an upgrade (lol) it still doesn't change the fact that they'd have 5 player for 3 roster spots. They have roster needs, but an offensive RHD having a bad season isn't one of them.

Check out Dumba’s defensive metrics for the last month and a half and get back to me.

What, you can't do your own research?

Okay, here you go: from December 1st to date, at 5v5, Dumba allowed
0.25 more CA/60 than the average Wild defenseman
0.07 more SA/60 than the average Wild defenseman
0.33 more xGA/60 than the average Wild defenseman (worst on the team)
1.19 more SCA/60 than the average Wild defenseman (3rd worst)
2.31 more HDCA/60 than the average Wild defenseman (worst)

Or did you think he should get credit for the unsustainable .970 goaltending while he was on the ice?

I imagine it would be a bit pointless for MIN to move JEE in the Detroit deal, right?

If so, I would think the trade includes something like:

Larkin = 2023 1st + Rossi + Faber
Bertuzzi = 2024 1st + 2023 2nd

Just my guess. Probably a little low for Larkin and a little high for Bertuzzi given his injuries this year.

I don't see Bertuzzi getting a 1st at all. He had 1 good season, is a rental, and has been injured. There just look to be too many FWDs the better than him that can/will hit the market. It's not a good year to be a seller when Meier, Kane, Horvat, Tank, ROR, Toews, and Larkin could all be on the block. Then there is the grouping of JVR, Kuzmenko, Domi, Monahan, Boeser that is similar to (healthy) Bertuzzi and all having better seasons.

I'm a Wings homer and I'd like to say that Larkin isn't available, but how isn't he if there is no extension in place? That would just be idiotic of SY19 and we know he's not. I would think that price for Larkin is still high... no way the Wild would be giving up a 1st + Rossi (best prospect and top 10 overall pick) + Faber (2nd best D prospect that looks capable of playing right away after this college season) -- maybe, just maybe a 1st + Ohgren + lesser prospect as Detroit could easily resign Larkin in the offseason as the Wild cannot.

Bertuzzi is not fetching a 1st+ at this point. DRW would be lucky to get a first. I could see a higher 2nd with a A prospect maybe. I'm not saying he shouldn't be worth a first, but supply and demand here matters for the playoff teams.
