Pens accept

Hextall should immediately be shown the door then. The last thing the pens need is an even longer big contract for a guy that has had his fair share of trouble scoring.

This saves us space. Kapanen is inconsistent and Garland is tougher. Schenn has also been good this year.

Pens easily accept

We have 25 mil in space next year. We can afford this after this year

No they don’t. They have 20 million and after this trade it decreases to 18 million next year. Now add the fact that the pens need to re-sign Jarry, Smith, Poehling, Zuckers replacement, Blueger or his replacement. That space quickly evaporates.

4 mil for Zucker. 14 mil left. 5 for Jarry. 9 mil left. Poehling and Smith both get under a mil. Around 7.5 million dollars to sign a replacement for Blueger and any extra depth

If it was that easy, those guys would be re-signed by now lol. Jarry is probably getting 6 bare minimum. Zucker is having a great year. Teams will probably go 5-5.5 million range for Zucker based off of what similar players got last year. Poehling and Smith have both been solid. I wouldn’t be surprised if they get 1-1.5 million each if they keep up their play.
