If Mikheyev only cost 3-3.5 million I would welcome him back.

I feel TOR needs to stay away from guys like Mikheyev & Kapanen who are weak puck transporters & puck handlers. We need guys who can settle the puck down and make decisions more coherently, since none of Engvall, Kerfoot, Jarnkrok or Holl can achieve that.

Apparently Mikhey asked for that at the start of the year, imagine if we kept him we still would've been able to sign Samsonov and just wouldn't have Aston-Reese

I doubt the Canucks move Mikheyev as he’s been a great fit, and moving FAs so soon after signing them long term isn’t a good look, but that’s a more than fair offer for him

It would have cost us Kerfoot or Engvall to keep him. I'd say in hind sight, getting Mikheyev at 3.5 or less and moving Kerfoot would have been the best move but that's after seeing Holmberg and other guys we've picked up play so well.

I still am confused about why they sent down Holmberg. He was playing great and was only 100k more then McMann

Just what the Leafs need....trading away a Dman and not getting one back.....that makes the team worse. Adding 8m in cap next season with Kapanen and Mikayev. And giving away futures.

A perfect trifecta on why the Leafs get never mind those deals.

Seems like they are using Kerfoot at centre and McMann is playing the wing. Think it's a good idea to get Kerfoot getting more playing time at centre in case of injury.
Holmberg could be back with the Leafs this year and certainly next season is in their plans.

I made an old post saying bringing back my fav leafs and Schenn was there. I was a little kid when he was there with the leafs tho.
