    Wait you have Buffalo retaining on toews for a 3rd and trading cap dumps to Chicago to "stay above the cap floor"? Why wouldn't Chicago just retain that money on toews and get the extra 3rd rounder while also staying above the cap floor?

    I don't mind the general idea here, but the execution is messy. I can see a 3 way trade like this happening around Kane or Toews, though.

    I'm guessing you don't think Buffalo is going to the playoffs. With 7 players going out and 4 players coming in you've destroyed your team chemistry.

    Preds really don’t need Asplund. However, if the front office of the team is stubborn and wants to win now, then I see Olofsson as a potential target. It’d be a dumb thing to do, but he would make sense in that situation

    Rangers say no thanks to Toews at that cost, no chance they give up a 1st round pick to rent him.
