Can't see vancouver retaining salary and taking a bad contract back for a late 1st (23), a winger who will probably never be a top 6, and a 3rd in a few years. They will get better than that I hope.

Vancouver isn't retaining 50% on Horvat for basically worthless garbage.Vancouver will get a far better offer than this.

Same with Arizona and the Chychrun trade. The only real value is Lysell and the 1st the rest is crap.

Salary being retained for a tanking team is nothing. He’s a UFA and they don’t need the cap space. So you take the 1st and 3rd and a B level prospect and walk away because the franchise is a joke and in shambles right now.

Zona gets a 5-6 NHL D, an A prospect, a B prospect and picks, which is about what they’ll pull from any team.

Yes the team is a joke right now. But they will get more than that from other teams. If you want one of the top rentals this year you have to pay. I have no problem retaining salary but not for that crap in return.

Both teams decline, especially Arizona.

Next offseason would be brutal for Boston.

These are two players the bruins don’t need at all, and likely don’t have legitimate interest in.

Right teams, wrong players. Schenn and Bjugstad instead of Horvat and Chychrun. Would cost less.
