I mean I love Ras and Veleno but I think it's gonna take a higher end piece with the first to get him.

At minimum it would be Rasmussen+Wallinder+2023 2nd round pick and 2024 1st round pick no protection.

We're not trading both Rasmussen and Veleno. it's one or the other not both.

That's a tempting offer, for sure. Two problems, though. I doubt the Wings part with a first at this point, and neither player in the offer is right handed.

But if this offer was on the table and no one else was offering the right shot D or C the Canucks are looking for, I'd probably take it.

You'd have to think the Canucks would be asking for Kasper, though.

Neither are particularly high end. Ras, a good D prospect and a first would be acceptable IMO. Rutherford is currently suffering delusions in his current ask. I guess we will see.

I mean honestly I'd rather keep Wallinder than Veleno or Ras at this point. Copp to the wing to replace Bert is the logical move but you could go Copp as the 3c for now. Larkin Horvat Copp down the middle isnt sexy but it's solid.

There is no trade for Horvat that I'm good with unless Vancouver gives him away. If he makes it to UFA, we take our shot then, but the cost it will take to get him in a trade makes zero sense from an asset management perspective.

I think Kasper 100% makes the team this fall, He could be our 3C unless Lalonde has him play wing for one season just to get accumulated to the lineup.

Yzerman's too smart to pony up the assets it would require to trade for Horvat, especially at this point in the rebuild. He's just throwing out smoke signals to let Horvat know that there's serious interest here if he chooses to make it to UFA.

Yeah that's true, I had figured he'd get a year in GR but he does look like he could hold his own right now.

Over in Sweden, They seem to think that he's 100% playing in Detroit this year. And he definitely does look NHL ready.

Wing pass. Why trade young guys with a cute and the all important 23 first, which is looking more like a top 8 pick and maybe even a top 5. Bad for our future. Let's see what the off-season brings.
