Not an offer SJ even remotely considers. Easily bested. He is making a minimum of 8.5. Seriously.

the ask for Toews is a 2nd and 3rd, Meier would be great but the issue is he's an RFA and is qualifying offer is 10mil and no way he is a 10mil player.

Hawks decline. Harkins and Vasalainen hold zero value to the Hawks. Takes more than a late 3rd and a 5th to get Toews. With those 2 picks, gonna take a much better F prospect.

I agree. Just going off the rumour of a 2nd/3rd. A 3rd with a serviceable bottom 6'er, a guy that still has potential, and a 5th to retain. I think that gets it done. **Plus I said if the Jets make the 2nd round (Which I feel is almost guaranteed) it upgrades to a 2nd.

I have heard 2nd or 3rd

Also I agree Meier isn't worth 10M... so the only way you make that trade is if it comes with an extension. If not Im looking at a Garland or a Mantha, which would only cost a 2nd/3rd.

Im just going off the rumour that the package will be about the same as Debrincat (top-10 pick, high 2nd, high 3rd), maybe less). The first isn't a top-10 pick... however, this draft is a lot better than last year so a late first this year equates to a mid 1st last year. Heinola is an NHL-ready D man at the age of 21... so I would say he is worth more than a high 2nd last year which again is worth less than a high 2nd this year. The Jets could probably add another late pick, but I think you are overvaluing Meier. The 10M QO is going to lower his value significantly.

I saw the condition. But Jets don't have a 2023 2nd, and the 2024 2nd was used in another trade, so a 2nd three drafts away in 2025? That's not so attractive either. Sorry, you haven't convinced me. Hawks decline.

Which is why Grier told teams they can negotiate a contact with him before making a trade. Jets can't afford Timo next year so SJ can't maximize a package for Jets. That's to avoid the QO. Stay up to date.

This year is stacked in like the top 10 after that not so much, so the argument that a pick in the mid 20s or more this year is close to a 7th oa last year is off. Heinola sure, worth a 2nd. You are also then asking for $3 million in retention. I still don’t see the high end piece that San Jose wants in a trade or high end 1st. Not really anything that they would want to trade a ppg player for

I guess when a 50 Goal scorer cross the border his value drops quite a bit. if you trade a 50 G scorer from Canada to the US then he's worth 3 1sts
