Pretty much. It's a dumpster fire when the team should be at the point they can compete. Miller and OEL will never live up to their contracts, Pettersson is gonna cost a fortune to stay, or the term on the next deal gets him to arbitration and he walks after that.

Dumpster fire caused by poor management. It's not like these problems weren't obvious before management took any action...that is hindsight is 20/20, but foresight was already 20/20.

Because we already have far too many middle 6 players, We need top 6 elite scorers like Meier and Pastrnak not Garland.

It isn't really Delusional, but Detroit rather easily declines. Vrana has another season left on his contract so it makes more sense to hold on to him instead of trading him with a 3rd for Garland.

In my opinion, Ryker Evans and a 2nd rounder is way too much for Schenn as a rental, especially considering Evans can step into a full-time NHL role with the team as soon as next season. The Kraken have enough NHL-caliber RD depth as it is anyway, so they don't need Schenn.
