as much as I hate to say it, you're right. Guhle is gonna be good. Really good.

Personally I'd rather do the FLA first and Anderson 50% retained for the duration of his contract.

I've said it before and I'm gonna stick to my guns on it here:

'24 1st (top 5 protected or a split protection where the pick must be within the 6-12 range or other circumstances kick in; Hughes seems to like his protection deals with endless if's & when's), '23 3rd, + a guy like Ylonen - this is the package I'd be willing to give up for him with our current circumstances.

Dach got a 1st (13OA) and a 3rd for the same draft year. This deal is built around that one, 1st moved back a year but with only top 5 protection gives opportunity for this to be a 6OA pick. The 3rd to match the 1st/3rd deal Dach returned. Add Ylonen as extra for moving back a year for the 1st, as well as the draft position (Laf went 1st, Dach went 3rd) and the added bonus that Ylonen will have a similar output as Laf does now but at a much more team friendly cap hit moving forward. I might add a tiny bit more but that's about as far as I'd be willing to go for him right now, maybe another depth piece or two (Dad 50% retained, depth defenceman, pieces like this to help with the bottom 6 & 5-7 D). Our '23 firsts should just be out of the question completely imo unless they're somehow part of a deal to bring in a generational talent.

Nah the 2023 first round pick is to much valuable for mtl. Mtl won't be able to draft first overall again, we need to stop dreaming on that but that don't mean that there are no other generational Talent after Bedard. Fantilli, Michkov, Leo Carlson are also in talk about being a generational Talent. So even if mtl draft 3 to 5 they still have chance to get a really great prospect.

And the other prospect are not so shabby like Dvorksy Sale, Gauthier, Daniil But could all be interesting prospect to add.
