I don’t want him or his ridiculous qualifying offer, anywhere near badly enough to give up half of that. Besides, the Sabres need a third line Center who can win face-offs and kill penalties. Somebody who can stop us from giving up 40 shots, a game, and four goals a game. That’s how this team can get into the playoffs, if that’s what they want to do.

He's one of the better/more underrated forwards in the league. Id absolutely sign him to a long term deal around 8-9 mil. I dont believe the Sabres will want to spend anywhere near that. Jost is fine for 3C. They need an RHD and a goalie better than Luukkonen (for every big save he makes he lets in a softie)

With Campbell's play normalizing, there's no need for Reimer and Nieto is worth the 4th at most (probably less), that's an easy pass for EDM.

Caps have no need or room for Megna, as Gustafsson, TvR, Carlson, Fehervary, Jensen, Orlov are all better options for DC.

I expect that Devon Levi will sign when he college season is over. I expect a tandem of Levi and Luukkonen to be the longtime answer for Buffalo in goal. How ready is Devon Levi is the real question. If he can play right now, all bets are off. A veteran defenseman will definitely help, but adding a scoring forward with a high salary, isn’t really what they need. But they do need to get better in the face off circle and the penalty kill.

I think Kulich and a 1rst is enough, Kulich is going to be good. My comp. for Kulich is maybe a little better V.Olofsson, and in our timeline, he may eventually take Olafs spot, when his contract is up. As much as I love Timo, I'd probably keep Kulich and the picks.
