Take out Pettersson and it is more fair. Flyers legit don’t have the assets to acquire Pettersson. You can’t possible think that you can acquire a franchise player without even including your top prospect

A hockey trade would look more like Horvat, Garland and Rathbone for Provorov, Laughton and Brink.

-VAN gets: Provorov, 2023 1st, Brink, FLA 2024 1st

-Philly gets: Pettersson.

I get Vancouver fans probably crazy overprotective of Pettersson, but every player has some finitie amount of value. A top-10 pick in a loaded draft, a top-50 leaguewide prospect, an additional 1st, and one of the most valuable defenseman being shopped on the market is an enormous package. Still don't see Vancouver moving him at all unless Pettersson asked to be trade, but in a hypothetical situation where he did request a trade, absolutely no chance Vancouver would turn down an offer like the one listed above (probably wouldn't even take quite that much tbh)

He's on pace for 100 points while killing penalties and playing a 200ft game. That pick would have to be top 5 for the Canucks to even consider that

If Vancouver turned down Provorov, a 2023 9th overall pick, a 2024 1st round pick (from a current non-playoff team mind you), and a NHL ready prospect with legit top-6 upside while knowing Pettersson wants to be traded in this hypothetical, it would be the dumbest trade rejection in recent NHL history.
