Just curious, why in the world would the Kraken "gift" Shane Wright to the Habs like that?

Nope from Winnipeg. The first is a good start but Kidney and Dvorak have little and no value to the Jets.

The offer simply isn't good enough for an entire year of Dubois, it's barely what he gets at next year's TDL as a pure rental.

None of the offers are fair or realistic for the other teams. It's just more of the Montreal garbage for other team's gold that Montreal fans are fixated on.

avs probably wouldnt do Cogliano 1 for 1. He is a big part of their leadership core now. And MacKinnon told Sakic to trade for him at the deadlien bc he works out with Cogliano in the offseason.

WDYM gift? Armia is at least better than McDavid.

Josh Anderson, even at 4 years x $4m, is still an expensive contract for the role he would play. We currently have Nate Bastian in 4RW at $825k. I think we'd stick with that.

That's a terrible deal for Anderson. Habs need to pay to dump his contract, and to a team that can take him. Try a team with cap space that's just entering their rebuild.

Did Joel Armia and Connor McDavid switch bodies recently or something?

Bad take. Hughes very likely refused some 1st round picks for Anderson. He may not be worth that, but he is sure not a cap dump

Well he's a cap dump to the Devils. It would be incredibly damaging to the Devils to acquire Anderson. He does not add nearly enough value to justify a cap hit that would severely restrict the moves that the Devils can make, potentially preventing Sharangovich or Mercer from being signed.

I wouldn’t trade him 1 for 1 at all. MTL fan high on the fumes of a decent start fail to realize Monahan hasn’t played in a month and a half and hasn’t been good for a number of years. There is a reason MTL got a 1st to take him.

Yes, it is true that Anderson to NJ wouldn't be the best for them.

Wright is a cap dump, that's what the 2nd is for.

Florida's 2023 1st would be a better get then a late 2024 1st and whatever other parts might be included.

I don't agree. Depending where the the first is, etc. it could end up being better. Here the only piece with any value is the first and that alone obviously isn't enough. It's just not worth accepting a lowball offer for a young 1C. I can't see it being hard getting multiple offers that are at least this good.

A first alone isn't a lot.
