Chytil points per 60 at even strength over the past 3 seasons:

20-21: 2.54 points per 60
21-22 : 1.5
22-23 : 2.67

Horvat

20-21 : 1.67 points per 60
21-22 : 1.7
22-23 : 2.54


Horvat usually doesn’t produce much at even strength, more of a PP specialist

While true, PP points are still points. They still contribute to goals for

That will never happen simply due to the fact that 1 player can make a team 10x better in the NBA, that can’t happen in the NHL, we can dream but you’d need McDavid in a contract year + to come close to it

Well yeah there is some cap, but most of that is what I would call "rental cap"
If they take on someone who is not pending Ufa, or that they want to trade&sign problems will appear when they are back in full health.

So when trading they need to already figure out whose caphit to shed in the summer, and at what cost.

I mean he’s in the HOF so he counts

And I did see that but I’d still say that trade was a slight L for the flames mainly because Iginla only led them to one deep playoff run and Nieuwendyk won 2 more cups with the stars and devils

I'm not so sure I'd go that far. No question they have some very difficulty decisions with the cap (although I believe it will go up higher than just 1 mil next year)

They have some nice prospects still to come

The thing is their best players (Zibanejad, panarin, Kreider) are going to regress and I don’t think the prospects/young players they have will be enough to make them contenders. Will they still be a wild card team? Probably , but I don’t think they have a shot at winning the cup . Too many dumb trades/signings

it's the Rangers, half those prospects are going to ask for a trade or start some other kind of drama, especially if their forwards
