I swear if the trade is

2023 1st (Dallas) + Blais + Kravstov for Senko with retention man not saying I want to give first for rental but missed opportunity

The deal supposedly has Blais, multiple picks and a prospect.

So basically we have Tarasenko with heavy retention and Niko Mikkola going to NYR for Sammy Blais, Hunter Skinner, 2023 1st and 4th round pick.

That's a solid trade from Drury.

Also Blais didn't score a single goal for the Rangers during his 54 game tenure. You could basically say that they traded Buchnevich for Tarasenko+2nd lol.

Rangers fleeced the Blues. There was no way a guy like Tarasenko would get less than a 1st anyways. All they have is a 1st and a bunch of throw ins.

Idk about that.
NTC, gets to pick his destination.
IIRC Tank was only interested in NJD, NYI and NYR, and since NJD doesn't seem to be in the rental game and NYI just made their big acquisition so the Rangers where ultimately the only buyer available.
Besides, given how little wingers are going for these days I'd say it's rather decent to get a 1st back for Tarasenko.
