I dont think Buffalo should make a trade like this. Not sure Meier fits the timeline, and Savoie is going to be a stud. Better off just waiting it out

Meier will get nowhere near that kind of return, With the $10,000,000 QO uncertainty. he won't get more than the Alex DeBrincat offer.

I wouldn't use Savoie, and is this trade in the offseason cause it would help more doing it now or soon.

I think J.J goes the other way.

If you’re going for Meier, you are trying to accelerate the process a year and get into the playoffs now, and unfortunately, the Cozens line will need to be better. With Meier here, one of either Quinn, or Peterka likely go to the press box.

With JJ, Quinn, Tage, Savoie, Kulich, Ostlund, Rosen, Cozens, and Krebs, all in the system and under 25, not including Tuch and Skinner, you have to determine if you get Meier, who fits in and who doesn’t. With Meier, the top six is set for years. After that, Krebs is a center, he ain’t going anywhere, and Savoie is a top 8 pick and a stud. Long term I’d argue J.J might be the one who gets pushed out.
