Rounding out the lineup

Description
Line 1- I love this line. On the surface Panarin is the creator, Zibanejad has a lethal shot / finish, Kreider is the puck retriever and playing on the RW opens up more offense. This line currently has a 54.5% xGF and that should continue to grow if they get time to gel. It’s a very tall task to try and slow down this line

Line 2- I’ve always felt our Stanley Cup chances hinge on the development and forward progress of “the kid line”. These guys just play well together. This line has clicked and are currently rocking a 53.5% HDCF and control the shot share. The biggest weakness with this Ranger team is consistent, secondary 5v5 scoring. If Gallant leaves this group alone and lets them cook they could really solidify the top 6 and give us a 2nd nice scoring line

Line 3- This is the traditional “shut down” 3rd line. Trocheck thrives with north / south players and Vesey and Goodrow are those guys. A lot has been said about Goodrows role with this team and I think he’s made for this role. I don’t like lazy comparisons but I think this can rival the 2020, 2021 Lightning 3rd line. It’s a small sample size but they’ve started 26% of the time in the OZ and have a 56.2% xGF and 64.2% HDCF.

Line 4- I had the hardest time with this combination. What is this lines role? Is it gonna be an extra skilled line with significantly less ice time than the top 6? Is it gonna be a physical checking 4th line to wear down opponents? Is it gonna be a mix? I have it as a mix. Acciari has really good underlying numbers and has been a nice surprise. 10 5v5 goals, 54% FO, 7th among forwards in hits, will play the PK. Motte played very well for us in the playoffs last year he’s physical, speedy, will play the PK, and despite a 31% OZ has very strong possession numbers. This line is solid defensively and has some solid 5v5 scoring pop. Motte / Acciari should hopefully give Kreider and Zibanejad some time off the PK

Maatta is such an enormous upgrade over Harpur (and Hajek) as the 3LHD it’s hard to put into words. Maatta will solidify the defense

Hope the Blue try to re-sign Acciari to term.

Value may be okay in terms of market value for a flexibile bottom 6er. But would be very disappointed if Acciari was traded for a pick in the 90s.

Maatta trade looks good for me from a Detroit point of view of we don't resign him. I feel like he should be traded and we let some young guys take the reigns on the left side next season.
I don't know if Motte would be acquired again.
Acciari would be a very good pick up I think.
