Why would the isles retain on beau to get Kapanen if they are sellers or buyers at the TDL. This make the isles worse, and hurts them cap wise.

Why are the jackets adding in this trade? Take desmith out and add a mid round pick going to the jackets
benjgc and Viqsi liked this.

everyone says no, Isles and Bluejackets aren't trading within the division, not to mention isles and wild wouldn't take those trades.

it is a one for one with the. same money going both ways. both players struggling. change of scenery can help both.

you would have an equal level goalie one more year. so the extra year would cost a later pick.

why? rutta would be a very serviceable dman for the oilers and both beauvillier and greenway are struggling this year, Minnesota gets 2 mil of cap space a serviceable third liner and a third, nyi gets a similar player and both can have a change of scenery.

Desmith is a cap dump. They don’t need a goalie. They have a better and cheaper goalie to take korpis spot. Also korpi has been better than desmith despite playing behind the worst defense in the league

Isles have no incentive to retain tho. Kapanen is older than Beau and not as talented. Real issue with Beau is that Lane Lambert isn’t qualified to coach my men’s league team. All that hair gel has seeped into his brain.

Ur trades r one sided in favor of the pens and you expect teams to retain to make them work. It’s entirely unreasonable bro.

he is having a bad stretch now, and he's value is at its lowest right now I get that, that is way I traded him for korpisalo. during his tenure as a pens DeSmith has been a great backup who became basically a good starter when jarry was hurt.

1. you're assuming EDM moves Barrie, if they don't then that move makes no sense for them. Kap doesn't fit the Isles play style at all, if you did Kap for Greenway i could see that, maybe, i don't think they'll want Henien though.
