Kings say no thanks. Kings don't need another depth center, however IF and that's a big IF they were interested in Eller then Washington would have to retain half. Kings currently have about 1.5m in cap which means taking on Ellers 3.5m means they would have to send down 3 of their youngsters just to make cap space for Eller which he definitely isn't worth.

All that said the value on him in my opinion is accurate lol

Last night Kings played Alex Turcotte (10th NHL game), Sam Fa-gem-o (11th NHL game and scored his second goal, the third/game-tying tally) and Quinton Byfield (21st game this season), plus youngsters Jaret Anderson-Dolan and Rasmus Kupari. All of them except Fa-gem-o can play center, and we need to find playing time for all of them. So Lars Eller isn't on our wish list. But thanks for thinking of us -- most East Coast fans don't.

Now what would you guys want for a guy like Sean Walker or Matt Roy?

The only two defensemen you have under team control right now for next season are Martin Fehervary* (one season plus in the NHL) and Alexander Alexeyev* (12 NHL games this season), so you can't help us with our primary soft spot -- therefore, it would have to be a pick-for-player swap. And we're not trading Matt Roy unless he's the lead player in a trade for a top-4 LhD. Sean Walker is probably worth your 2024 third, but we might well get a 2023 third for him from another team. Too bad you've already traded yours.

* Why does the OP show Fehervary as a scratch and Alexeyev back in the AHL?

Needed to create cap which is why Alexeyev was sent down and with the addition of Gudas I scratched Marty as TVR has outplayed him to this point.

With Carlson out, Alexeyev and Marty need to be in every game and are for the most part.
