Horrible for the Canucks. Minnesota doesn’t make sense as a Horvat landing spot imo. Klimovich looks like an absolute stud right now and Horvat is worth more than that

Guys, seriously, Minnesota isn't trading their top assets for your rentals. If you want pieces like Rossi, Lambos, Khusnutdinov, a 1st round pick, etc, offer something we can actually use long term.

Disclaimer though: you guys don't have anything that would work for us for that price.

Even then, we can't afford him next year without drastic wholesale changes, and we definitely can't afford his extension the year after.

Horvat is worth nowhere near that.

A career 60 point 2nd line center having a career year in his age 28 season is not worth half of what Canuncks fans think he is. They pulled the same crap with JT Miller last season saying he should get an Eichel level return and how did that work out for them again?

But more importantly, Minnesota isn't...

A) Moving Foligno in a Horvat trade.

B) Moving Middleton in a Horvat trade.

C) Moving its #1 Prospect in Rossi for a pure rental in a Horvat trade.

Also, saying Klimovich is a stud is a bit much, he's having a really good season down in the AHL with Abbotsford. But I wouldn’t call him a stud.

Klimovich: 9 goals, 11 assists, 20 points in 36 games played in the AHL this year.

Rossi: 8 goals, 14 assists, 22 points in 21 games played in the AHL this year.

In short, Rossi has played 15 less games in the AHL than Klimovich due to starting out in the NHL this year and has 1 less goal, 3 more assists, and 2 more points. Despite having played roughly half as many games.

Tell me again which one qualifies as a stud?

I wasn’t saying the wild could afford him, just that he’s about the only player in Vancouver worth that return.
