Yep, Anaheim accepts. You can hang onto Rees too.

Edmundson and Boeser are terrible players and Henrique isn’t worth a first imo. This makes the canes worse in the short and long term. Seems unlikely a front office which is heavily invested in analytics would make these moves anyway tho.

Next year with retention or this year without you're correct, but as we have no reason to move him right now, we wouldn't retain on him for 1.5 seasons for anything less.

Pretty fair. Brock should be higher than a 2nd now (where he was earlier in the year), but still not enough to get much more than this at full cap.

Skjei was once considered a "terrible" player by analytical folks when Carolina acquired him. And yet...now he's one of the best second-pair guys in the league. It makes you wonder if Carolina's winning environment and play style can have a similar effect on Boeser. I think that he'll be an interesting case study if Carolina acquires him. Canes are rumored to be interested in reacquiring Edmundson, as well. He doesn't have great analytics this season but Brind'Amour loved him the last time around and he's useful as a third-pair minute-muncher in a similar way that Ian Cole is.

If the canes are trading 2 1sts at the deadline, they should be aiming way higher than Edmundson and Henrique. I don't mind the Henrique pick up, but you're overvaluing all 3 of these players.

Boeser isn't terrible he is better then Drury is right now. Boeser is injury prone which makes him not worth his current cap hit. I bet you when Boeser gets out of Vancouver and into a market with less pressure on him. His trade will end up looking for a steal whoever gets him will there be retention on him probably should be as Vancouver isn't going to be competing in the next 3 years so eating like 3m to maximize return value should be done. But will probably not be done by current management group.

Yeah these aren't the moves mgmt will be making. Appreciate the effort. You gave some other teams a happy moment but now it's over.

If we are paying a first for a retained 3LD give me McCabe or Murphy. Edmundson doesn’t fit our system due to his skating.

A third pairing guy who hasn’t been playing well for awhile shouldn’t get a first. You’re handing out top picks like candy. Overpaid for each of these players. Not saying these would be bad players to target or they wouldn’t succeed in our system but if we’re taking on somewhat distressed assets or at least buying low we should actually buy low..

I hope he can figure it out since he’s been through a lot, but I wouldn’t bet it on.
