I don't know why hockey fans, can't appreciate the Leafs left side with Reilly, Giordano and Sandin is solid. Leafs certainly trading a 1.4m Sandin or Liljegren.

Not bad ideas (although agree that Sandin wont be moved), but ultimately that CHI deal is a parrot job: Why would CHI have 3 yrs of retention on a guy they just signed for that return? Steeves is a midlevel prospect and the 1st is probably 25th or so overall, so IMO you dont get the player and the retention (which is at least a 2nd for 3 yrs)

I don't think its troll, I mean both teams very likely decline the 1st trade, and the other 2 trades seem fair-ish

Preds accept.

Hopefully if we did move Jeannot out, it’d mean we’d be moving Ekholm or Fabbro too. Sandin would slot into our top 4 and is somebody we could invest in.

Well teams don’t typically trade young, cost controlled future (even present) top 4 D for 4th liners. Get that the leafs could use a bit more toughness but that Sandin trade is just wack

It's well know that the ask for McCabe is a 1st Rd pick. That's out there.

Jeannot could not play defensively on that 3rd line.
