Three thoughts.

No to King. He's big and slow and we have enough of those guys. I'd rather see a guy like Mersch or Auger get a shot before bringing back King.

I do not want to give up the 1st round pick to just unload Brown's contract to Vegas. Unless Vegas will take him for a 3rd (and personally, I think they are taking him anyway), I say we stick it out with Brown for another year.

Greene is a LTIR and Dowd make $640,00 in a cap hit. I don't want to move him for a 7th D-Man, Plus you don't have LaDue in your rotation. He will play before Gravel.

I'm just curious as to why you think they are going to take him? Seems like there are so many better options than to take one of the worst contracts in the NHL

Well, I'm a Kings fan so I see him every game. He is a solid hockey player, hits the snot out of people and great leader. His contract is bad BECAUSE the Kings are cap strapped, NOT because he is a bad player. His problem is he makes 1st line money for 3rd line offensive production.

At the end of the day, Vegas is going to need someone in that locker room to lead that disorganzied team and all those young players they get with the 25 picks they will accumulate from everyone dumping their trash into Vegas :-) East coast fans will discount this and at the end of the day they may be right. My gut is they take him with very little extra needed to do so.

We have to keep those 1st round picks to start to replenish our system, so unless I am floored, I ain't trading it, even to unload Brown's contract. I'll just stick him on the 3rd line.

My thoughts anyhow.
