Better question: does it make the bruins worse? Yes. Yes it does. They aren’t doing that.

I would take Vladar if we could get him since he is underperforming in Calgary, but I don't think that price gets him.

Wouldn't move Pinto for Carlo, Yes Greig had a good game, But the faceoff ability depth is huge, look at the way Giroux and Thacuk play wing but take a lot of draws, Ideally, you would have Greig and Pinto both on the 3rd line. Greig did look a little weak on some draws I would say he needs time at LW and taking a few draws to grow.

No team is paying more than a 2nd round pick equivalent for Vladar. He’s not some Oettinger or Sorokin. More of a Vanecek

Flames are in a spot where they can let Dustin Wolf play starter minutes in the AHL until he is 24 conditioning him to carry the load post Markstrom contract, there is no reason for the Calgary to move on from a relatively perfect goalie set up at this point, they have depth at all levels, I wouldn't say a surplus so there's no real need to empty the cupboards until Wolf makes it very clear he can start in the NHL

There’s no way wolf shouldn’t be in the nhl with back to back years with .920+ save percentage . He’s ready. Would be a waste to keep in the AHL when you can save 2 mill and spend it somewhere else where it’s more improtant

What’s with the defensive act? Someone has a different opinion (with all the evidence in the world to support it, fyi), and it’s just “good luck.” “You do you.” Why?

Bergeron, Zacha, Coyle….I’m pretty okay with that at center. Could it be better? Sure. Would Shane pinto make it better? Highly unlikely. Tell me, what happens to the right side of the d with carlo gone and clifton very likely to walk? Is Jack Ahcan going to turn into a top four d man at age 26 or something?

Here’s what you’re doing for boston. You’re creating a massive hole at a very important position

That could be true, I tink it is hard to tell with goalies sometimes things just come together for them. But the fact that he is 1 young, 2 likely to still improve as a goalie, and 3 having a bad year on a team with a starter and a good prospect Wolf, if the Sens could get him in for a 2nd or say Thompson, then I would be happier with that than old man Talbot who pulled something doing a routine save.

It will make the Sens better right now but you would probably regret it when Pinto is a defensive minded 65 point center for a decade.

I’m getting to the point where maybe we should trade Debrincat for a a top 4D with term or team control under 26 and an nhl ready forward prospect . Either Greig or Pinto will end up playing top 6 wing . and the forward prospect can start on the 3rd line

Phew, tough call. Maybe…🤷🏻‍♂️. It certainly helps sure up a porous backend. Think you are paying a high price on Darth but he hasn’t hit his full potential yet either.

Strongly disagree, it's the most fickle position in all of sports, Calgary has a perfect set up right now with tons of options in the pipeline at all levels, leave it that way. Only 4 goalies under 23 have seen playing time this season, Spencer Knight being the outlier of the group in that he's played more than 10 games, teams aren't rushing their goalies, they never have, going to a tandem of Markstrom who will be coming off of a down year and Wolf who has 0 NHL experience isn't the way to go about it. Vladar is a huge reason as to why the Flames are still in the hunt and nothing guarantees that Markstom will bounce back which would leave a huge load on Wolf's shoulders.

I think they should sign DeBrincat and trade Batherson for the defenseman.

This sounds a lot like you are saying Vanecek is superior to Oettinger and Sorokin. And I’m fine with that.

That’s not what I said at all. 😂. I’m saying he’s not some elite goalie . He’s more of a 1B rn

I like this idea. I know theirs a ton of reason why and why not to do this but at the end of the day we are low on young centers and if we get the result we want this year, this would help our rebuild.
