OTT accepts only if he is willing to take a 4 year deal at 4-5 per. The age and injury history doesn't warrant anything more than that.

Hawks accept. That's a fair offer.

Your undervaluing Hartman and greenway. Minnesota doesn't have cap for timo and just used two 1st round picks on top prospects Wingers

Why is anyone paying for Goligoski? He's a 37 year old puck moving defenseman who is having the worst year of his career, and has a full NMC this year and the next.

Anaheim certainly doesn't want him.

The Wild cant afford to do the moves you have here

Boldy's raise will be taking effect, Timo will need a new deal

Pairse and Suter's cap hit will raise from the current number to $7,371,794 (increase of $1M each)

Just Boldy, Pairse and Suter will be taking up roughly 8M in new cap hits

Meier should get $8M AAV at the very least so theres another 2M in new cap

UFAs - Reaves, Gaudreau = 2.9M in space (probably just covers Meiers new deal); Toews brings in 5.25M in space after expiring

RFAs (due for raises as well) - Steel, Addison, Gustavsson.... Shaw and Duihame both probably get minor raises as well

Assuming the UFAs walk, that frees up ~$9.7M
Boldy, Pairse and Suter take up roughly 8M of that
Meier best case (for Minny) takes up another 2M in new cap

Lets say the RFA raises combines for 3M

Still need to fill the roster out too

Way too much to give up for Timo - who would undoubtedly be a rental for the Wild. Also, Greenway is having a down year but would be worth a bit more than that. Hartman is also having a down year, but is worth much more than a late 3rd from Toronto.

Move Zaitsev, let Hamonic, Holden, and Watson walk then replace with Dumba at 4 or 5, resign Branstrom for 1 mill, and keep JDB, Greig, and other rookies in the line up you would actually gain 2-3 M cap space.

Unless JDb can step into the 2nd pairing with Sanderson next season you got to do something.

Also, remember cap is going up and after next season Sens get back almost 3.5 M in cap space from Retained salaries and Buyout penalties expiring.

Assuming we sign a cheap goalie like Korpisalo, that leaves $3.3 million left over for a defenseman. Dumba wouldn't take that and I don't want Dumba either way.

Not my first choice, but we need someone and he would likely take the lowest amount of assets to get. The injury history is the biggest thing for me.

We don't need to trade for him at all he's a UFA.
