You do know the Habs rebuild doesnt disintegrate if Dubois doesnt resign. Theres even a chance where the dont want Dubois, especially if they draft a center this draft

You also dont know what value is. The word you are looking for is price. A team can set a price, a team can pay a price, but they dont get value or that doesnt make a player worth the price.
And anderson is certainly not worth a 1st, because that would be terrible value

Joel Edmundson is the worst defenseman in the league this year. I cannot find a stat that would make me want to replace any defenseman in the Oilers line up with him. The eye test is even worse
