That's his price without (or with very minimal) retention, gotta give a lot more for us to retain that much... or just cut the deal outright.

Stop sending boeser to us Canucks fans! Gosh it's annoying. Minnesota doesn't want him! Just stop. Canucks fans becoming more like Montreal fans! You aren't getting anything from wild for boeser

This is an outstanding trade for the Canucks. Wingers have no value in this league and they turn him into a really good younger center AND a second rounder. Plus you trade $4.25 million to spend on someone in free agency like Ryan Graves, Gavrikov, or extend some guy like Bear.

Using that logic, Boeser (retained) = Graves, Bankier, and a 2024 2nd. That is good asset and cap save management.

Dude Minnesota doesn't want boeser! Apparently no matter how many turns wild fans tell Canucks fans our gm doesn't want him, once another Canucks fans post same crap, others have to pile on. Trade him elsewhere. Force him on others

Got a source to where the Minnesota GM said they’re not interested in Boeser? Just curious why you think you’re right

Michael Russo. In just about every Article and Podcast where Boeser's name comes up.

FOR THE LAST FOUR MONTHS.

Lol stop acting like the source isn't coming from our GM. You don't know anything about Russo standing with Guerin. Lol your just wanting reason to keep forcing boeser to Minnesota on here. Comments like yours are just showing lack of wild and how they operate

I think I would be fine with adding Boeser. But the trade would need to be something different. Greenway would probably need to be involved in the deal and a third team to retain since I doubt Vancouver would be willing to retain.

Lots of writers just make stuff up. Plus you never even gave me a quote from Russo saying they won’t go after Boeser.

I don’t think Boeser to Minnesota makes sense either but I’m not going to pretend to know what the GM is thinking and state my opinion as fact. And even then GMs change their minds all the time. Unless you’re the GM how would you know anything? So like I said, quit acting like your opinion is fact since you don’t know what the GM is thinking

Russo is the most plugged in beat writer in hockey. If he says that Guerin/The Wild isn't interested in Boeser.

He's/They're, not interested in Boeser.

He's going to know a hell of a lot more about what's going on in that front office and who they are and aren't interested in, then some random fan who doesn't know the Wild franchise or its local beat writer.

Russo is considered the best beat writer in hockey, national opinion, for a reason.

His word is going to carry more weight than yours. Sorry.

Quit pretending like Russo isn't the most plugged in reported in the NHL. He's the one whose openly reported Monahan to Minnesota will never happen either. According to you, all reporters lie. He's the one whose broken trades. He's the one who warned Minnesota fans that fiala wasn't being resigned way long before. And so many more. You are just continue to want to propose boeser to Minnesota

I don’t care what a beat writer says. GM quote or it’s all hearsay. I don’t care for Boeser to Wild either, doesn’t mean it’s 100% not happening.

Here's just one of the many times he's spoken about it.

"Russo: To echo Joe, “He’d better find one.” And Guerin admits he’s looking, which means the Wild could be looking for a rental well earlier than trade-deadline season. Nic Petan and Gaudreau played with Boldy on Thursday night. That’s not sustainable, period, nor is it fair to Boldy, who has to feel like a man on an island right now — similar to how Fiala had to feel for a few years before Boldy arrived.

The problem is the Wild need to re-sign Boldy, Addison, Steel and surely Gaudreau and make sure they can re-sign Kaprizov entering the final year of his five-year deal in two years. And he’ll name his price. So for the same reason the Wild got rid of Fiala, they may have to go the rental route because they may not be able to afford a hefty carryover contract. Horvat’s perfect, but for the haul they’d have to give up, it’s hard to see them being willing if they won’t be able to re-sign him. So maybe it’s a reasonable deal for someone like Duclair? Kane or Jonathan Toews could be a fantasy. Sean Monahan is out there, but the Wild could have acquired him umpteen times and haven’t. Same with Boeser."

"A GM quote or it's all hearsay..."

Wow, a nationally syndicated and well known beat-writer/insider who covers the Wild isn't enough for you.

Russo's voice and insider sources carries as much or more weight in the league as Friedman or LeBrun. But you'll accept only the word of someone who would never openly speak about such things because of league tampering rules.

But okay.

Just, wow.

Even with retention, we can't really afford Boeser the next two seasons.

Sure we can. We just gotta move salary around that might not be up to par anymore (Greenway, possibly Foligno).

Find me a direct quote from any GM about a player signed to another team...oh yeah, you can't because they aren't allowed to make public statements about their interest/lack of interest in players who are under contract with other teams.

As others have said, Russo is highly regarded around the league. If he says it (and doesn't clearly state that it's just speculation), then it can be taken as gospel. He doesn't just make things up for clicks or throw out thoughts without the sources to back it up. He's built up over 20 years of good will and isn't going to throw it away on something as trivial as saying that the Wild don't want to trade for Brock Boeser.
