isles traded this past offseason the 13th overall pick for Romanov. What makes you think we would even consider this???

All trades favor the leaf's, the only one that's close is the Jersey trade.

Tavares isn’t waiving, Arizona has no interest anyways, that makes no sense for them

I mean as a Preds fan, I'd be content to get just one pick for Sanford.

The retention on an AHL player is weird though. The OP doesn't even need it, with the team they've built here.

-Tavares isn't gonna waive for Arizona; the Leafs aren't burning that much cap on retaining him, and I'd argue that Arizona passes because Tavares doesn't immediately make them a contender by himself. Everyone passes here.

-As already said, Isles gave up #13OA in June for Alex Romanov - why would they move him out for a 4th liner, an older bottom pair guy, and a late 3rd? Easy pass for New York.

-No idea why you'd want Sanford when you already have a handful of decent bottom-6 guys making similar money.

-Another confusing one for me, ZAR is a strong defensive veteran with some playoff experience - I'd rather have him hanging around than Thompson or McMann, if I were the Leafs.

In what universe does a point a game star centre (yes they is still what JT is), a 23 year old top 4 defenceman somehow have less value than a 3rd line grinder making 4 million and another top 4 defenceman who's basically another Rielly but injury prone? To think that favors the Leafs is just insane

It doesn't make sense you are correct. None of this does. It's a troll post. This is one of those post where a "leaf fan" (this is absolutely just a troll posing as one) makes a ridiculous post that doesn't make sense just to get Leaf fans and the fans of the other teams fighting. This sort of post should just be ignored it's a blatant troll job

If you removed Romanov from that Isles trade it'd be a lot closer.

Unrelated question for a NYI fan, do you think Pulock could be acquired? I think he'd be a great fit next to sandin

Having Boyle on your 4th line is similar to uncle buck wearing rubber boots. SLOW MOVING
