That’s not enough in terms of quantity or quality heading to Winnipeg.

The trade isn't till the summer. Yep, that's a pretty good offer by the Jets, if PLD doesn't doesn't resign long term. If PLD is so adamant not resigning with the Jets, maybe the Habs don't even want to make a trade for him and get him for free (possibly in summer of 2024

Sure it is, even if you have Dvorak at no value

That's pretty decent value. Dvorak and Harris probably need to be replaced by pieces the Jets would need and/or want, but better than 99.9 % of Montreal fan offers we see on here.

To be fair here, the Jets aren't looking for a LD (Harris) and Beck's ceiling isn't high enough to be considered as a PLD future replacement. I think you have to swap Barron in for Harris and Dach for Dvorak. Not a bad ACGM though.

Where did it say summer trade? If that is the case the 2023 1st would be gone and the 1st would have to be 2024. If the 2023 1st is gone and we used it on say Sandin-Pellikka or Reinbacher we aren't trading them but if select someone like Sale or Heidt I could see them being included. If this is a TDL move then the Jets are passing since they are wanting PLD for a cup run and the Habs are not trading that Panther's pick until they know where it is going to land.

Now, If this is a trade at this years deadline and its established that PLD wants to leave Wpg.

First I must say, to the Habs supporters that this has got to be the first proposed trade that I have seen that has some sense/reasonable components to it...
But in saying that, realize that PLD is an established #1 centre with unlimited upside, which Jets fans don't want to see leave. But, if he wants out, so be it...

What is a reasonable return: a centre with size: Kirby Dach, right defence who shoots right: Justin Barron, the offering of potential players in Owen Beck , Florida's first round pick (works) and returning Johnathan Kovacevic to the team that drafted him.

Beck is not our #1 offensive prospect not in the NHL. We have Roy, Farrell, Kidney that are all ahead of Beck in terms of offensive potential.
in fact, I would swap Kidney with Beck as I see Beck as the habs future #3C (excellent faceoff/possession guy).

i did not mean to trash on kidney, roy or farrell, love them all as prospect, but i believed there he might be valued more than all these guys. farrel is gonna be a question mark because of his size until he its pro, kidney as better number but playing in a weeker league, he really is not as complete as beck is. there is a reason beck made team canada of kidney while being youger. roy would be very close to him, maybe with back to back good wjc performence, he as made a name more for himself. anyway, thats just my opinion! i think beck is a sure Nhler while it can be hard to gauge for the other prospect!

I like how you have been backtracking on your comments whenever someone posts a reply....so let me clearly spell it out for you.
YOU said that Beck is our #1 offensive prospect.
He isn't.
Farrell, Kidney and Roy are all regarded higher in terms of offensive potential than Beck is. Yes, Beck is a more complete player but that wasn't your comment.

FYI - the fact that you've consider Farrell, a question mark because of his size until he turns pro - really shows that you probably don't follow our prospects well.
Let me remind you that at just 20 years of age, Farrell was playing with and against MEN at the Worlds and Olympics.
AND, not only did he NOT look out of place and hold his own - but he put up more than decent offensive numbers - ALL while playing with MEN!
Still have that question mark on him?

well you are in a fighty mood. im backtracking because i i know what we are talking about is a matter of opinions and not fact. so yeah, i dont mind saying i do believe beck is our most valuable foward prospect. i guess i did say offensive prospect but my point was more foward prospect. and trust me i follow the habs prospect quite a lot. i would be surprised if you could make me learn something about them, but maybe you could who knows!

anyway, like i said its all a matter of opinion, we are not talking about fact. From conversation with other people on this site, i have felt other team values beck as our best foward prospect, doesnt mean he is in absolute. i personally do believe he is the most valuable.maybe you dont and thats ok too, in the end its just a matter of perspective.
