Trades
1.
VAN
  1. Boqvist, Jesper
  2. Mukhamadullin, Shakir
  3. 2023 1st round pick (NJD)
Additional Details:
Vancouver gets a very good defensive prospect in Mukhamadullin, a young NHL player who needs a change of scenery in Jesper Boqvist, and a first round draft pick. I could see Holtz potentially a piece of this deal, depending on how the Canucks like his game.
NJD
  1. Horvat, Bo
Additional Details:
New Jersey is looking to make a splash at this year's deadline and it makes sense to use some of their young assets to acquire a top end player for a serious playoff run. Horvat provides goal scoring and two way ability behind Hischier and Hughes. The Devils likely trade for Meier in my opinion, but Horvat is a good backup option.
2.
VAN
  1. Gurianov, Denis
  2. Harley, Thomas
  3. Johnston, Wyatt
Additional Details:
Dallas is an interesting destination for Horvat, but I don't think this deal is very likely. Wyatt Johnston would be exactly the young centre the Canucks would target in a Horvat trade, Harley is a very good young prospect, and Gurianov could be a guy that could benefit from a change of scenery.
DAL
  1. Horvat, Bo
  2. Rathbone, Jack
Additional Details:
Horvat instantly improves Dallas' top six and would slot in on the second line alongside Marchment and Benn. That's a lethal second line in my opinion. Creating room to re-sign Horvat would be tough, as would justifying this trade as a rental. But with Stankoven looking to push for an NHL spot, Stranges, and Dellandrea, the Stars have a lot of young and upcoming centers.
3.
VAN
  1. Buium, Shai [Reserve List]
  2. Rasmussen, Michael
  3. Wallinder, William [Reserve List]
Additional Details:
Vancouver lands an elite defensive prospect in Wallinder and a young BC native in Rasmussen. Vancouver also adds another good defensive prospect in Buium to improve the defensive pipeline. Detroit gets to keep all their draft picks.
DET
  1. Horvat, Bo
Additional Details:
This deal relies heavily on a Horvat extension, which would add insurance to the Larkin situation. Yzerman is an outstanding asset manager and talent evaluator. Horvat would instantly make Detroit's top six a force. With Kasper coming up, Horvat and Larkin, the Red Wings could have a filthy centre group
4.
VAN
  1. Borgen, William
  2. Geekie, Morgan
  3. Nelson, Ty [Reserve List]
  4. 2023 1st round pick (SEA)
Additional Details:
Canucks get two young right handed Dmen and a solid young centre. Trading Bo to a divisional rival will have a steep price, Seattle would have to part ways with three good young players and their first to make it happen.
SEA
  1. Horvat, Bo
Additional Details:
Seattle has also been aggressive in their pursuit of Bo Horvat who would add significantly to the Kraken's top six.

You say Seattle has been "aggressively pursuing Horvat". Unless both GMs say that publicly, there is no proof that.
More silly extension talk. Wings aren't giving up anything and just may/may not sign Horvat in the summer.
Dallas has been pretty lethal without Horvat. No way they giving up Johnson.

BREAKING NEWS: According to Palhal we should all refrain from using a trade speculation website to speculate on trades that insiders have speculated on.

Going forward we must only post trades after each GM has announced they have made a trade.

Might as well completely get rid of trade speculation because no GM every publicly says "we are aggresively persuing this player"

They always say who they are pursuing and they always state what they are offering the other team, obviously.

Is Detroit really in the mix? Seems like a team that may get worse before they get better.

I just wish the CapFriendly writers could just think themselves and say why a trade is possible/logical. The quoting of the fantasy writers/reporters, isn't valid or silly beliefs that GMs have tell reporters that truth about their trade strategy.
Just ask are CF audience think for themselves, which should be done in all aspects of life.

Detroit is not in the mix. If I’m wrong, I’ll eat crow and that’s fine. It makes no logical sense to remove assets where the team currently sits. There is a chance to possibly get him in free agency. If they don’t, oh well it would have been nice. If they do, great.

Wallinder should be untouchable, Ras seems like a perfect middle 6 winger and is still getting better, Buium I like more than others, but is a SY type of player.

Free agency makes sense, especially if one the big UFAs find home elsewhere. But at deadline, doesn’t seems like a fit.

Johnston is an absolute dealbreaker for Dallas. Easy decline from Nill
