Yup. Only reason he’s in the AHL is because he plays for the Flames, otherwise he’d be a starter or 7th D on most other Teams. Defensemen develop and peak later too, so he’s just getting in to his prime years now. He’s going to be a solid D-Man for the next 6-8 years

You don't trade a guy like Hoglander Klimovich or a 2nd for a 6th or 7th D anyway

None of them are NHL Players either, most are in the AHL as well, so not sure your point. Meloche would be 4th or 5th D in VAN, don’t kid yourself.
