-Devils pass. Why would a team making a playoff push remove one of their top D at the deadline to add a guy they don't need? They already have Hughes & Hischier at 1C/2C so either they're paying this crazy price for an upgrade at 3C, or they're paying this crazy price to play a top 6 center out of position. Just bad use of assets by the Devils, so they would pass.
-I don't think you'd need to send a pick with Schenn; I assume his value is around a 3rd and Pool Party is more reclamation project than positive asset at this point.
-Isles pass. Even with the retention, Boeser would be more expensive than Bailey and has an extra year of term. He's not a cap dump, but he's not worth Raty & a 2nd.
-Kings are not trading Jonathan Quick, that would be nuts. Worst case they roll with 3 goalies over the last three weeks of the season if they're worried about losing Copley to waivers; I also think that they would be more in the market for a rental goalie than one with term, since they have Cal Petersen signed for 2 more years. And, for what it's worth, the supposed "upgrade" in Demko put up an .883 SV% and 3.93 GAA before getting hurt; Quick is at .884/3.34. Doesn't feel like the value is anywhere near appropriate here - I could buy a Demko for Petersen+ "change of scenery" trade, maybe, but the Kings are not trading their franchise icon this close to the end of his career.
