Oilers need to move money in, money out, so if they are willing to do the 1st+Puljujarvi or Yamamoto for Ferraro then maybe that's something SJ should consider. I do think that SJ wouldn't just take a 1st alone, since Grier is probably hoping that Ferraro's 3.25m contract will be something sought after in a year or two, and then he would ask for a decent to large package similar to the Chychrun situation if Ferraro proves to be a reliable top 4 D.

Would rather put Mittelstadt in replacement of that 2nd so it’s a body in and out. He’s played well lately and looks to be a solid 3rd line Winger at this point.

pretty good but I'm not sure how many Swedes it would take for Karlsson not to be pissed that Meier gets traded.

You probably should and have to move Karlsson. I don’t know how it would work tho. But realistically if you can retain 50% and get as many teams interested and a bidding war, you should. This team will be a cap floor team for the next 4 years so might as well maximize the value of EK

50% for that long is Sharks Seppuku. I could see SJ retaining up to 2.5m. Even despite his return to greatness his contract seems impossible to move when he can veto any trade. SJ would likely need to take a loss to move him. It's totally fitting for SJ to stack onto the loss that the OTT trade ended up being. Grier is going to have to deal with Wilson's junk for a long time

I think it’s important for San Jose to keep acquiring picks and prospects and have a top 5 prospect pool within 2 years
