2. I wonder if bunting takes a bridge deal until the cap goes up? this is that hypothetical. It certainly runs the risk of his injury and/or performance decline, but I don't know. At this point in his career, he might just try to go long-term and sacrifice the potential money he will make if the cap goes up.
- salary cap is 1m extra because of McCabe retention
- I don't know how much the cap will go up, I think estimates are around 1-2 mill

UPL is coming along quite nicely for us, and Anderson has been good all year

good point, the whole idea was to shed cap. worst case scenario we keep him and let him go in free agency next year, and sacrifice some depth (probably barbashev and holl in my scenario)
